Stone grinding and polishing process

The  process of stone polishing: Stone polishing is an important process for  stone conservation, and some stones can be directly polished. Polishing  is mainly to increase the brightness of the stone surface. Stone polishing is generally performed according to the procedure of  rough grinding→semi-fine grinding→fine grinding→fine grinding→polishing,  and also some of the rough grinding steps can be omitted, mainly to see  if the original stone surface has undergone preliminary treatment.
1 Rough grinding: It is required that the grinding piece has a large  amount of knife, high grinding efficiency, rough grinding lines, and  roughened surface, mainly removing the marks left by the stone in the  previous process and smoothing the stone. Modeling surface grinding in place;
2 Semi-fine grinding: The coarse grinding marks are removed to form a  new, finer grain, making the stone surface smooth and smooth;
3 Fine grinding: After the fine grinding stone surface pattern, grain,  color has been clearly shown, the surface is delicate, smooth, and  began to have a weak degree of gloss;
4 Grinding: The surface of the polished stone has no trace of the naked eye. The surface is more and more smooth, and the gloss can reach more than 55 degrees;
5  Polishing: Using a special granite polishing machine, the stones are  ground from coarse to fine from the No. 50-3000 stone water-abrasive  sheet, resulting in a bright and smooth surface. The polished stone surface is bright as a mirror, and its gloss can reach 85 degrees or more. According to different types of stone, different grinding and polishing processes are used.
